Folks,
Having put the amendment, the Labour Group used their block vote to reject it and push through their budget increase. In doing so they protected their own political position and dipped into the taxpayers pocket because their numbers don't add up.

Interestingly they were claiming that the public will prefer their action but they stopped at 1.99% to avoid a budget that would trigger a referendum where the public would make it clear what they think.
